As we embark on a new fiscal year, Thriving Families Alliance (TFA) renews its commitment to our mission: to empower a caring community that promises the well-being of every child. Thriving Families Alliance will continue to empower a collaborative community of professionals dedicated to the well-being of children and families. By working together, we can ensure that Southwest Iowa has the resources and strength to thrive.
We are optimistic as we approach the start of a new fiscal year and embark on several transitions. We are working to strengthen partnerships and continue to work towards building a resilient community. We'll be sharing resources, program updates, and professional development opportunities to equip you and other community members with the tools and knowledge to better serve families. Together, let's make this next year the year we truly empower a thriving network around our children and families.
After celebrating 10 years, Child and Family Resource Network (CFRN) looks ahead to new referral and outreach opportunities, expanding our network footprint, ongoing marketing development, and presenting to community partners on the importance of the first 5 years for children and families. With a quickly filling calendar of events and presentations, we are happy to come to agency staff meetings, interagency meetings, and community coalition meetings. Reach out to our CFRN Coordinator to schedule your presentation.
The Harrison, Monona, and Shelby County Hub (HMS Hub) spent the past several months researching priorities and has identified Basic Needs as our focus area for the upcoming year. We will break Basic Needs into two Action Groups, Food Insecurity and Employment/Lack of Income. Our Action Group members are community agencies and individuals who represent areas of Basic Needs and provide resources to the community. They will be responsible for the work that will drive the impact of the collaboration. Each Action Group will work on establishing a better understanding of the current situation through data or asking questions. They will develop strategies to create new resource paths of communication to align existing programs and community members to work together to maximize access to resources.
Thriving Families Alliance and our collaborating partners are united in our efforts to build awareness and increase capacity through ongoing development of those working with children and families. To ensure our professional learning offerings remain relevant and impactful, we will continue to assess community need. A survey will be conducted community-wide to assess the professional development needs most desired by professionals and the community. Through this feedback, TFA will bring in experts, develop workshops, and leverage local professionals' expertise to address the identified and essential topics.
With new growth comes new opportunities. Staff rallied together with enthusiasm to renovate the new TFA headquarters, demonstrating teamwork and dedication. This larger office space will accommodate our growing staff. With the final touches and adjustments underway, we eagerly anticipate its completion soon, ready to embrace a space that meets our evolving needs and fosters productivity and collaboration among our team. We look forward to hosting a ribbon cutting soon.
Looking forward, we see a path of tremendous growth and opportunity. As we expand our reach and deepen our impact, we are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. Our organization is poised to innovate and evolve, leveraging new partnerships and initiatives to better meet the needs of the community. With a strong foundation of dedicated staff and passionate supporters, we are confident in our ability to scale effectively and make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families. Our optimism fuels our determination to continue growing and adapting, ensuring that we remain a beacon of hope and empowerment for years to come.
