Featuring Episode 1: The Storm

Mental illness is one of the most significant health crises in the world. It affects people of all ages, backgrounds, and communities, yet it is often experienced in silence and isolation.

Join us for a powerful community screening of Episode 1: The Storm from the acclaimed PBS documentary series Hiding in Plain Sight: Youth Mental Illness, executive produced by Ken Burns.

This moving two hour film follows the journeys of more than twenty young Americans, ages 11 to 27, from diverse backgrounds across the country as they navigate the realities of living with mental health challenges. Through deeply personal first person accounts, viewers gain an intimate understanding of what it is like to experience depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and suicidal thoughts, while also witnessing stories of resilience, recovery, and hope.
